Unvented hot water storage systems (G3) training

The G3 training course will give delegates a full understanding of the installation, commissioning and servicing of unvented hot water systems, as well as water regulations and other statutory requirements.

The G3 course includes a home study pack containing a workbook that delegates are expected to study before attending the course. This learning will be reviewed at the start of the course.

The training session covers the installation, legislation and safety of domestic unvented hot water. Delegates will then undertake a formal assessment, which is marked on the day. Successful candidates will receive a certificate of competence, as defined by the Building Regulations G3.

Aims of the course

On completion of the G3 course and passing the assessment, candidates will be qualified to install, commission and service unvented hot water systems.

Who should attend?

Heating engineers, installers and maintenance engineers who want to install unvented heating and hot water systems.

Suggested prior knowledge or understanding

You’ll need to bring evidence of your NVQ Level 2 or equivalent plumbing qualification, plus have experience of heating and hot water systems. You are also expected to study the course book and complete the workbook before attending the course.
