Baxi is making an important addition to its team with the appointment of Harriet Evans into the newly created position of Renewables Director.
Harriet will be responsible for accelerating the company's growth in heat pumps in the UK & Ireland and ensuring Baxi drives the energy transition with end-to-end solutions for all its residential and commercial customers, including products, services and aftersales.
Harriet arrives at the company with 30 years of sales experience in the heating and cooling industry, most recently as Sales Director for the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries/Beijer Ref collaboration.
Karen Boswell, Managing Director at Baxi, said: "Harriet brings a deep level of heat pump experience and has a strong knowledge of engineering and building services. This is an important appointment that will support our customers as we work to a sustainable future and achieve our sales ambitions in heat pumps".
Sales of heat pumps have been increasing rapidly in the European markets of BDR Thermea, Baxi's parent company, and Harriet Evans expects the same to happen in the UK & Ireland.
She said: " I will be ensuring we have a convincing set of solutions for all of our customers within both the residential and commercial sectors".
"Baxi may currently be better known for its boilers, but it has an impressive and expanding heat pump portfolio for both the domestic and non-domestic sectors. Equally importantly, there is vast technical expertise in low carbon technology to draw on within the company and the wider BDR Thermea Group".
"One of my first priorities is to take our customers, including specifiers and installers, on the education journey," Harriet continued. "I'll also be working with our sales team to communicate how to package up our total solutions, including heat pumps, cylinders, hybrid designs and smart controls".
Baxi is introducing a number of low carbon solutions to its portfolio of heating and hot water solutions. Its first range of commercial air source heat pumps was introduced under the Remeha brand earlier this year. The Baxi Assure Air Source Heat Pump is also being offered to the residential new build and social housing market.
The company also has offsite heat network solutions provided by Baxi Packaged Solutions and is one of only a few manufacturers to be testing hydrogen solutions for the residential and commercial markets.
