We answer FAQs about the new My Baxi app for the Baxi uSense smart control
It is simple to set up your new My Baxi app, and all the information on your old uSense app should be migrated over automatically. Simply follow the steps on our How to get started page or watch our video.
Pull down the home screen until the ‘refresh’ icon appears.
On the Home screen, select ‘More’ at the bottom of the screen. Select ‘Hot water’ and now you can adjust the temperature for your hot tap using the sliding indicator. Between 50 and 60 degrees Celsius is about right for a combi boiler, but don’t set it for lower than 60 degrees Celsius if you have a hot water storage cylinder, as this temperature will protect you from Legionella.
The existing central heating schedules should have been migrated over from your old uSense app. If you need to change them, just click on ‘More’ at the bottom of the screen, select ‘Schedules’ and then tap the arrow next to ‘Zones’. Then you can view each day, adjust the timing and temperature for each block and copy the pattern to other days.
Select ‘More’ at the bottom of the screen, then select ‘Holiday mode’ from the list. Click on ‘Departure’ to select the day you go on holiday and ‘Arrival’ to select your return date. During those dates, the heating temperature will be set to ‘anti-frost’ to protect your home from frozen pipes in cold weather while you are away. Tip: If you are enjoying a winter break, why not set your heating to come back on the day before you return, so you come home to a warm house!
On the Dashboard, the mode your hot water is set at can be easily seen as either ‘Eco’ or ‘Comfort’. Touch the Hot Water panel and select ‘Comfort’ or ‘Eco’ from the next screen.
Once you've linked your uSense to your Smart Home device, you can:
Ask Alexa to tell you the Room Temperature: Alexa, what is the thermostat temperature?
Ask Alexa to change the set temperature of the uSense: Alexa set the temperature to 21 degrees
