How is a filter fitted and can I get one fitted for my existing boiler?

Your installer should fit a magnetic filter on the pipe that is returning the water to your boiler after it has been round the central heating system. This will prevent any debris that has been picked up on the circuit from entering your boiler. From 15^th June 2022, having a magnetic filter fitted will be a requirement of the Building Regulations when you have a new boiler installed.

If your boiler and central heating system doesn't already have a magnetic system filter, ask your installer to fit one when they do your annual boiler service.
